    Job Responsibilities:

    • Apply extensive knowledge of DevOps engineering principles and advanced techniques to manage the timely resolution of unprecedented issues.
    • Support and lead tools cloud migration initiatives and current state including related maintenance, upgrades, “up-keep” along cross-departmental process improvements and automation initiatives.
    • Coordinate with subject matter experts across the release lifecycle to obtain input and support for planned
    • DevOps engineering activities.
    • Plan and execute DevOps project tasks and lead technical projects.
    • Serve as a thought leader for emerging DevOps industry trends and concepts
    • Lead technical and design discussions to define and develop Fannie Mae’s Next Gen DevOps platform and practices.
    • Ensure the near-term alignment between IT operations and the business.
    • Become a maintainer of Fannie Mae’s open source tooling and dependencies, finding and fixing bugs and security vulnerabilities.

    Job Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, using Cloud Formation, Terraform or similar tools.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
    • 4+ years of experience in software development and DevOps engineering.
    • Experience with end-to-end software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Programming skills in multiple languages such as Groovy, Python, Ruby, Go, Java or similar.
    • Experience with architecting and automating cloud-native technologies, deploying applications and provisioning infrastructure.
    • Experience with architecting, designing and automating cloud-native CI/CD workflows and tools, using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools.
    • Experience with SBOM standards and open source supply chain security
    • Experience with Linux scripting; understanding of network and internet principles.
