Loader Swing Shift – CHS Internships Belle Chasse

Job Description:

CHS Animal Nutrition has an opportunity for a swing shift Feed Packer & Loader. You will perform duties required to manufacture animal feed such as material handling, machine operation, and facility cleaning in a safe and timely manner. You must be able to follow instructions, work independently and with others, have good communication skills, both written and verbal, and promote a positive image of CHS.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist management with production scheduling, inventory planning & control for both ingredients and finished products.
• Observe all company policies & procedures, adhere to all safety & FDA requirements.
• Adhere to CHS’ quality assurance program regarding bagging product.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in
• correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
• Perform general work around the facility and other duties as assigned.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers when needed.
• Operate feed packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform necessary sequencing, recording, and documenting of all feed manufactured during shift.
• Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain accurate production records and enter data into OSM.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and repair as needed.
• Effectively communicate with managers, co-workers, and customers

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

• Able to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
• Able to bend, turn, and twist repeatedly
• Able to climb ladders, stairs and bins
• Able to lift 55 pounds repeatedly
